Inuit Polar Bear Sculpture — David John Novoligak
Hand-carved polar bear in the classic Inuit tradition, signed on the base by the artist: David John Novoligak, Kugluktuk, Nunavut. Carved from a stone, the bear is rendered in a confident, simplified form — four-square stance, lowered head, the quiet power of an animal at rest. The pale stone has developed a warm, mottled patina across the surface, adding depth and character to the piece.
